Support Pods are small, focused groups offered by Integral Leadership in Action (ILiA) to turn shared values into shared action.
Across the world, alumni circles, professional guilds, and faith-based communities thrive because they don’t just share ideas—they share resources. They act as force multipliers, helping each other grow through mentorship, collaboration, and trusted referrals.
The Integral community is rich in wisdom, but often lacks the infrastructure for real-world support. That’s what Support Pods aim to change.
Each Pod is a space to:

Collaborate across fields
Build trusted relationships
Support Pods are how we move from isolation to collective momentum. They’re not just about connection—they’re about doing the work together.

Integral Creative Writers’ Support Pod

The English Language as a Creative Medium, led by Karen Voorhees
Like clay for a potter or pigments for a painter, language is the medium we writers must use for our creations. The English language gives us an unusually rich medium to work with thanks to its many-layered history. The Anglo-Saxon invasions gave us the stark forcefulness of Beowulf, the Norman invasion gave us the lyrical beauty of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, and the universities of England gave us the intricacies of the 18th-century literati. These linguistic layers have gifted us with an extraordinarily rich artistic palette.
In this session Karen Voorhees will present a few of her favorite gems from the history of English literature, and share how she has used this linguistic palette intentionally in her own creative writing.
